The Grundfos UPS 15/50 is an exceptionally durable circulator pump designed specifically for demanding domestic and light commercial heating systems. Utilising an advanced canned rotor design, the pump and motor form a completely integral unit that eliminates the need for a traditional shaft seal. With only two static gaskets required for sealing, the internal bearings are lubricated directly by the pumped liquid, significantly reducing mechanical wear and virtually eliminating the need for ongoing maintenance.

Constructed with a robust stainless steel rotor can and bearing plate, alongside ceramic shaft and radial bearings, the pump operates smoothly under working pressures of up to 10 bar. It measures 130mm in height and provides a maximum flow rate of 3.4 cubic metres per hour via a 230V supply. The unit features a manual 3-step speed selector, allowing installers to accurately match the hydraulic performance to the specific resistance characteristics of the heating circuit.

Q: What type of motor design does this circulator use?
A: It features a canned rotor design without a shaft seal, using the pumped liquid for lubrication.

Q: What is the maximum operating pressure for this pump?
A: The cast iron and stainless steel assembly can handle system pressures up to 10 bar.

Q: How do you adjust the flow rate on this unit?
A: The pump incorporates a manual 3-step speed selector for straightforward hydraulic balancing.

Q: What materials are used for the internal bearings?
A: The unit utilises highly durable ceramic shaft and radial bearings, alongside a carbon axial bearing.
