27:T79a,The Polypipe 250ml solvent cement provides a strong chemical bond specifically formulated for joining non-pressure thermoplastic pipework arrays. Engineered to conform strictly to BS 6209 requirements, this fast-acting adhesive initiates a rapid surface melt upon application, permanently fusing separate components into a continuous structure. It delivers reliable adhesion across a wide spectrum of materials including standard uPVC, ABS, MuPVC, and cPVC substrates. This versatility makes it an indispensable consumable for configuring domestic waste disposal routes, external soil stacks, and rainwater management infrastructures where rigid mechanical stability is paramount.

Supplied in a compact tin featuring a 76mm diameter profile, the container incorporates an integrated applicator brush attached directly to the cap. This practical mechanism ensures an even, controlled distribution of the fluid across pipe spigots and socket interiors while minimising material waste and protecting the user from unnecessary skin contact. The quick-setting chemical formulation accelerates overall project timelines by reducing the required clamping duration, allowing drainage circuits to be safely commissioned shortly after assembly.

Q: Is this compound suitable for pressurised water mains?
A: No, it is strictly formulated for non-pressure gravity applications such as soil and waste drainage.

Q: Does the fluid require mixing or dilution prior to application?
A: It is supplied fully mixed and must never be diluted or decanted into alternative containers.

Q: What is the optimal method for applying the adhesive?
A: An integrated brush is provided within the lid to apply a continuous, even coat to both mating surfaces.

Q: Will this product bond dissimilar polymer plastics?
A: Yes, it creates robust joints across uPVC, cPVC, ABS and MuPVC fittings with equal efficacy.
