Product features:

  • Engineered from thermally stable polysulphone to reinforce 15mm flexible polybutylene pipework.
  • Patented In-Cert technology delivers tactile feedback to confirm complete and secure insertion.
  • Prevents pipe wall distortion to maintain a flawless sealing surface for push-fit O-rings.
  • WRAS approved and fully compliant with BS7291 Class S standards for potable water distribution.
  • Compatible with severe hydronic environments including high-temperature underfloor heating circuits.

The PolyPlumb 15mm In-Cert is a critical pipe stiffening sleeve manufactured to guarantee joint integrity across push-fit plumbing infrastructure. Moulded from high-strength polysulphone plastic, this 25mm long insert is placed directly into the core of 15mm polybutylene pipework prior to connection. The stiffener counteracts external compressive forces applied by the push-fit mechanism, preventing pipe distortion and ensuring a perfectly circular profile for the internal O-ring to seal against. Utilising patented In-Cert feedback technology, it provides installers with confidence that the pipe is fully seated and physically secured within the fitting.

Approved under rigorous WRAS and BS7291 Class S standards, this component is entirely suitable for integration into both hot and cold potable water supplies, as well as complex underfloor heating circuits. The black polysulphone material exhibits outstanding thermal stability and resistance to internal scaling. Once installed within the stainless steel grab ring of a PolyPlumb fitting, the resulting joint remains secure, only demountable via complete disassembly, thereby eliminating the risk of accidental blowouts.

Q: Is this stiffener required when connecting copper pipes?
A: No, stiffeners are exclusively designed to reinforce flexible plastic polybutylene pipework, not rigid copper.

Q: Can this insert be removed once the joint is fully made?
A: The joint is designed to be permanent and can only be demounted by complete disassembly of the fitting.

Q: What material is the pipe stiffener made from?
A: The stiffener is precision-moulded from black polysulphone, a robust and thermally stable polymer.

Q: Is this product certified for use with drinking water?
A: Yes, it holds WRAS approval and meets Water Supply Regulations for safe integration into potable systems.
