Dow Corning 785+ Silicone Clear is a high-performance, bacteria-resistant sanitary silicone sealant designed for sealing around baths, showers, sinks, basins, urinals, sanitaryware and ceramic tile joints. Its high-modulus acetoxy formulation provides excellent adhesion to most non-porous surfaces, including ceramics and porcelain, creating a durable, water-resistant seal for areas exposed to moisture.
The silicone contains a fungicide to help resist mould, mildew and fungus growth, while its bacteria-resistant properties help protect against the growth of bacteria including E. coli, Salmonella and MRSA. This makes it particularly suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, clean rooms and healthcare environments where a hygienic, easy-to-maintain seal is required.
Dow Corning 785+ offers a fast cure, becoming tack free in approximately one hour, with 100% recovery after movement. Its ±25% joint movement capability allows the seal to accommodate movement while maintaining a reliable, flexible seal. It also provides resistance to water, ozone, UV radiation and temperature extremes.
The clear, gloss finish provides a discreet appearance around sanitary installations and is particularly useful where a visible white seal would be undesirable. Supplied in a 310ml cartridge, Dow Corning 785+ Clear is a professional sanitary silicone suitable for plumbers, bathroom installers and other tradespeople carrying out sealing work in domestic, commercial and specialist environments.
